As global trade and climate pressures increase, the risk from harmful pests and diseases continues to grow. Protecting the plants we love requires shared standards, responsible sourcing and a commitment to doing the right things behind the scenes.
By becoming Plant Healthy certified, Agri-Truffe has demonstrated independently audited best practice in plant health management, helping to minimise the risk of introducing and spreading serious pests and diseases.

Antoine Bouffard, Sales Manager and Communications & e-commerce Manager, Agri-Truffe, said:
“If you want truffles, you plant truffle trees, and you make sure those trees are grown to the highest health standards. Agri-Truffe has always been serious about plant health and several of the measures in Plant Healthy were already being followed. Plant Healthy certification has built on this, putting in place a fully systematic approach, which has been independently verified. We are proud to promote this and to be the first certified Plant Healthy scheme member in the EU.”
Malcolm Catlin, Project Director, Plant Healthy, added:
“The Plant Health Management Standard can be applied in any country. Whilst we will continue to grow membership in Great Britain, it is vital – given the extent of international trade in plants – that we also look to encourage the uptake of certified best practice in other countries. It is therefore with great pleasure that we welcome Agri-Truffe to the Plant Healthy community.”

This milestone comes at an exciting time for Plant Healthy. Garden designer and broadcaster Adam Frost recently joined us as Ambassador, helping raise awareness of the importance of plant biosecurity. We will also be at the Chelsea Flower Show this year as part of our ongoing partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society.
More updates on our growing community and international engagement will be shared soon.
