All Five RHS Gardens Achieve Plant Healthy Certification

We’re delighted to share that all five Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) gardens, including their retail centres, have now achieved Plant Healthy certification, making the RHS the first multi-site public or botanic garden in the UK to do so.

The Plant Healthy certification recognises organisations that adopt strong biosecurity practices to reduce the risk of introducing and spreading harmful plant pests and diseases. At RHS sites this includes robust plant sourcing, quarantine measures for new plants, strict hygiene practices and ongoing staff training.

This milestone demonstrates both RHS’s commitment to safeguarding plant health and the growing importance of proactive plant biosecurity across the horticulture sector.
